On June 17, 2024, Project HairCare conducted the certificate ceremony for 16 operators from Cohort I. The graduates completed the four essential mental health and wellness sessions needed to receive the certificate. The shops represented in Cohort I include:

- G-Cuts Global
- Hairworks Denver
- Hillside Barbers
- Hollywood’s Barber Shop
- Legends Kuts and Styles
- Montbello Barbers
- Winning Coiffures Salon
- Wright’s Barber Shop.
The graduates of Project Haircare affirm the positive benefits of using barbershop and salon-based interventions to address the mental health needs of their clients. The learning environment is described as a safe space with shared learning, tools, and information. These elements allow the shops to be a central hub to help identify and support the mental health needs of the clients.
Graduates shared thoughts on the program impact:
